From Italian designer deadstock, this is a wonderful, highly textured luxury wool blend coating. A classic coating style, offering rich texture with very little bulk. It is a lighter, mid-weight coating, and its knit construction allows malleability and widthwise give. It has body in the drape, a wonderfully soft hand. The color is a very dynamic stormy marled gray. It does not fray, making it easy to cut and sew. This fabric came to us without specific content details, as deadstock sometimes does, but our series of tests confirm a blend of luxury wool and wool-like yarns (like angora or mohair) and a small percentage of synthetic fibers. An excellent quality fabric for timeless garments. Sew lined or unlined coats, jackets and vests, winter suits and topper coats, etc. Dry cleaning recommended.
